It’s not the best for your pores but when I get dry patches that won’t go away I use Aquaphor or Rose Salve then resume with regular moisturizer.

Ok here’s the big secret: mix some baking soda in with your regular face wash. I use cetaphil. so yeah, mix in some baking soda, which seems to get rid of the dry patches. My cheeks get so rough, it drives me nuts.

The second secret is this stuff called biossance. I got it from a free sample, it’s made of vegetable squalene. I have no idea what that is really, but it works so good. I have been buying the little sample size on ebay. I guess I will break down and buy the $68 bottle eventually. Worth it!

Brand: F. A. B. (First Aid Beauty)

Product: Ultra Repair Cream

I buy mine at Sephora, but I think some Target stores also carry the brand. You can get a nice quantity for around $30. It lasts for months.

I used it day and night.

Same here! Moisturizer works best after a good face wash/scrub, your skin absorbs it way more. I use the soy face cleanser by Fresh and I love it! Its pretty pricey but I had to buy it after sephora gave me a sample. Thats how good it was.

I use a neutrogena moisturizer now which is really great, but Im following this thread to see what other cremes are out there, because my skin is dryer than normal too.

I recommend either Hada Labo Tokyo Skin Plumping Gel Cream or Skin Medica TNS Ceramide Treatment Cream for use at night. The latter was recommended by my esthetician after a chemical peel left my skin very dry. Both have excellent reviews online.

I add vitamin E oil to my moisturizer at night.

It’s a bit weird but I put on Vaseline at night and wash it off in the morning and apply my usual moisturise. I find the Vaseline really helps with dry skin in the winters. It’s not the best thing if you sleep on a pillow though

Something with jojoba oil in it. I use The Jojoba Company products and they’re excellent. Also Clinique 7 day scrub is really good to slough off the dry patches.

Rosehip oil at night. Or jojoba. Or argan. Oil really is key.

And just be careful that your cleanser and toner aren’t too harsh for your skin. Check that your toner is alcohol free.

I have really sensitive, breakout prone skin and I promise that oil does not break me out at all!! If you’re scared to oil up, add a couple of drops to your normal moisturiser at night.

I use argan oil. My skin is super sensitive and it’s the only really moisturizing thing I can use without my skin freaking out.

I use Clinique’s Moisture Surge moisturizer.  I’ve tried so many, and this is the one that works the best for me.
