Can you separate the top part from the bottom? If the bottom fabric dyed correctly, you probably just need a different dye for the part that did not.

I would try another round.  Some fabrics take two or three dips in the dye to get the color you want.

I agree, dye it again, it is just a diluted version of eggplant, it needs more dye.

I’d try dying it again and see what happens. Darker won’t be worse, right? lol
