Does anyone else really not like the the direction the show has taken? Or do you prefer it?
Pre-Unveiled, I felt like David Tutera would try to connect with the brides and he cared about making their day special. Now there’s so much manufactured drama that there’s not any connection or understanding. There’s too much filler with the assistants and the stupid phone call rehashing some issue that always comes when David is working out, getting a tattoo or something along those lines every darn week now.
Worse, I feel like the weddings have taken a serious downgrade. They used to be lovely and lavish. Now it’s like the budget’s been slashed in half and they’re seriously lacking in imagination. It feels like he’s pawned them off on a less talented assistant and then just fluffs on camera at key moments.
I didn’t always like the styles he did before, but I felt like most of the time he cared and was putting in effort. Sometimes I didn’t agree with the dresses he’d take away from brides or the party dresses he’d make them wear when he allowed them. But it felt like there was something more to the show. It feels like it’s just sort of phoned in and going the direction of most over-dramatized reality television.
