Love it!

Do you have an inspiration board of your theme? Sounds like it’ll be gorgeous!

@baliahi1029: Ok, you both just blew my mind! They have carvable pumpkins at Michaels?!

I’ll be making a trip there tomorrow should I be able to leave my home due to that bitch Irene! 🙂

All the craft stores (Michael’s, Joanns, etc), even Walmart in the regular Halloween section, have carveable pumpkins called Funkins. Shop around before you buy though.

@baliahi1029:OMG I NEED TO DO THIS!  Prepare yourself I’m going to ask 850 questions…

Did you cut the top off yourself?  Do you think that it would be possible to cut a slit on a larger (fake) pumpkin? I’m concerned about it not being locked up.  Also I’m assuming you painted those yourself?  What color did you use to acheive that amazing gold?

That is so cool that the cards won’t get gunky!!!  This is probably one of the most unique ideas I’ve ever seen for a card box!

The supplies shouldn’t be that expensive at all. People will have to go to alot of trouble to attempt to steal anything, which is not even an issue at most weddings. However, guests who come with only a card need something that is labelled somehow (most cardboxes are not obvious that is what they are for, whereas a basket would be, for example) to let them know where to put them.

I wish you could have done mine for me! I was nervous about the cards not fitting so at the last minute i put a box underneath the pumpkin to collect the cards. Yours came out so much prettier though!
