I am 5’1″…when I walk into the bathrooms at work the sensors don’t recognize that I entered the bathroom so I have to wave my hands above my head like a crazy person unless I want to pee in the dark! I thought this happened to everyone at work because the sensors were stupid…but no…its actually just with me.

I feel small when I cant reach things on high shelves and have to get help to get them off…either by climbing or asking!

5’2, I walked past a taller woman in the grocery store yesterday in the pop aisle. She was staring straight ahead at the stuff on the top shelf, which was eye level for her. I have to get on my tippy-toes to even reach stuff from that shelf, most of the time.

when people at work leave the cupboard doors open in the kitchen, which are exactly at forehead height for me to walk into!

sumshine.dawn: My SO is 6’4″ too! He makes me feel tiny when he holds things out of reach above his head as a joke.
A lot of friends also playfully use my head or shoulders as an arm rest.

When I’m umpiring a game of kids baseball and I’m looking the 12 year olds in the eyes.
When I’m buying shorts, skirts, dresses, and they go past my knees.
When I find something at the top of the store I want and it’s on the top shelf, so I climb the shelves like a mountain climber.

When I have to climb shelves at the grocery store and others are just being bystanders who look at me like I’m crazy…HELLO, a little help here!
I studied abroad this summer. There were 24 girls, and only 2 of us were under 5’9. Several were over 6 feet. I just feel so tiny when standing next to others most of the time.

I’m 5’0″ and I hate it when counters are up so high I can barely see over! This happens at the doctors, grocery stores…..I feel like a little kid =( The other thing that gets me is when you stand in a group of people and then all of a sudden realize your are looking at everyone chest unless you look up

When I really have to look up to see people or when I try on regular pants that are too long for me

I’m always happy to find jeans with short, average, and long versions, but hate when the cashier says “oh, I didn’t know we had capris out!” while ringing up my short ones.
I also feel the full weight of my shortness when I say “we’re out of jelly” and my SON says “no we’re not” and pulls the jar from the top shelf of the fridge door. Which I can’t see into at all! Lord knows what tasty treats they’re hiding up there safe from my eager eyes!

I’m 5’0 and work in a large office building in the city. The doors are massive glass and automatic – I don’t trigger the sensor. I literally cannot walk into work on my own, I need someone else to trigger the door!

+1 My 6’2 hubby does the same to me.
I am 5’4 and taller women make me feel small.

My job! I work in a restaurant and everything is up on the highest shelf possible. I constantly have to ask someone to get something down for me or spider man up shelves. I’m 5’0″ on a good day.
