Smashbox Halo Peachy Dream Loose Blush is my favorite blush… I have that Italian skintone that can often look washed out, and this gives it such a pretty, bronzy glow. I find that most traditional blush shades look harsh or clown-like on my skin.

I’m still looking for a favorite lip color. I always feel that deep, matte reds look the best. However, they are so messy! So, I usually stick with a color that is within two shades of my natural lip color, and with zero shimmer.

I use Maybelline’s Fit Me blush in medium pink. I tried on a bunch of different lipstick shades before my wedding, and loved MAC’s lustre lipsticks in Capricious (a pink/berry shade) and Sophisto (a red/berry shade). My favourite foundation is Revlon’s Colorstay makeup in Buff.

I’m curious to see what shades other bees recommend!

My favorite blushes are both cream blushes – Bobbi Brown pot rouge in pale pink (it looks really really bright, but is actually subtle and was recommended specifically for olive skin!) and Yves St Laurent creme de blush in dusty rose (so soft and velvety, this is my every day blush)

Also, I think your username is a reference to my favorite book ever… ah, the feels. ๐Ÿ™‚

Other awesome stuff I use:  Bobbi Brown tinted moisturizer in Medium/Dark, MAC pro longwear concealer in NW25, Laura Mercier smooth finish foundation powder in No. 10, YSL volume effet faux cils mascara in Noir Radical (swear by this mascara, I buy them 6 at a time bc I’m afraid of running out), Smashbox eye beam double-ended brightener…

I don’t wear much lipstick, but I do like some of the Nars lip pencils!  Satin lip pencil in Yu (really fun bright pink) and velvet matte pencil in Dragon Girl (hard to find a good red for olives!)

I love makeup, I actually don’t use very much- just basic stuff- but I love talking about it, reading about it, testing out new products. I could spend hours in sephora (and do)!  Can’t wait to hear more in this thread!

I like bronzer for blush! Shows up subtle on my light olive skin, giving some nice depth. Currently I have last years Clinique powder compact bronzer, but I’ve been using Clinique bronzers for years. Comes with a little flat brush inside the compact that’s great for contouring. Works great for me.

Lips. I confess, my favourite lip stuff is also Clinique. I like a bright pink on olive colouring, but applied lightly. It looks so fresh and pretty.

Lip gloss:

I also LOVE this other Clinique stuff called Almost Lipstick. It feels almost like lip chap. It’s tinted but not super strong colour. It’s awesome because you can apply it without a mirror! If you DO have a mirror you can put on a bit more and it looks petty pulled together. I have the hot pink one. I swear it’s less bright when it’s  on. (I’m going to see if I can find a link. brb.)

EDIT: Found one! I have Flirty Honey.
