Do you have a picture of the kitten? I’d love to see! We may be able to guess her age by the picture.

You can go to a pet store and buy special wipes, they work really well. My mom uses them on our cat that’s 16.

I think it’s great that you’re taking such good care of her!

No idea, but a bath is a good idea, it will take care of some of the fleas.

Your vet will be able to estimate how old she is. Frontline Plus can only be used at 8 weeks and up, and she’s probably too young. You can give her a bath in Dawn, that would be okay.

Pictures?

Definitely give her a bath.

If you can post a picture I’m sure we can estimate her age.

Dawn bath will work for fleas, but you have to let her sort of soak in the lather for a few minutes to suffocate them out. Just don’t get it in her ears or eyes (or really her head at all, but sometimes you have to do the head because fleas love it there).

Don’t let her around the house too much or around other cats at all until she’s been tested for feline leukemia, etc.

Keep washing with Dawn, most likely too young to use commercial flea killer on her and it can make her really sick.  Get her to the vet and he should be able to give you a rough estimate and get her started on shots and worming.  I find the worms to be the worst part of adopting stray animals.

@pharmy:  Ooh this is a good point to remember.  Feline leukemia can pass onto kittens easily.  My old cat had it and it’s not an easy thing to deal with 🙁

By that picture, I would say she isn’t any older than 4-5 weeks. Mainly because of the type of fur that she has. SUCH a cutie!

You can either wait until the vet to get her age estimated, OR you can use good ol’ Google and look up something along the lines of “estimating a kitten’s age by teeth”. It’ll give you some photos of what teeth she will or won’t have by a certain age so you can get an idea.

I give our animals baths in Dawn all of the time. Be SURE that it’s blue dawn! That’s the only one that works. It’s also pretty drying on the skin, so try and only make it once a week. The vet will also be able to give you some suggestions since babies are so sensitive to anything.

I would say 4-5 weeks, 6 tops based on the scraggly fur but open eyes and ears.

@Hiya_Unicorn:  OMG she is gorgeous! I want to go cuddle kittens now.  I would guess she’s somewhere between 6-8 weeks. She looks a lot like my kitty did when we brought her home at 8 weeks.

I’d guess she’s about 7 weeks or so.
