I am so Damn excited! This will be the first time FI and I travel anywhere together or spend the night together, so it’s exciting and nerve-wracking!
My FI and I both LOVE traveling, but he knows more and is more into googling all the things to do and places to see than me. So I told him he could plan the whole thing and I’d be happy with whatever he did, I really would 🙂 He asks me here and there what kind of honeymoon I’d like, what kind of things I wanna do. He’s so perfect!
We’re planning to travel for 6 weeks, so I told him I definitely want a hotel for the first two weeks, then after that we can budget with accommodation so we’re not sending ourselves broke!
I also gave one condition, I love cruising more than anything! So I told him I want one of those weeks to be a cruise! I wanted to pick the cruise liner but he said no, it’ll ruin his plans. He told me to to him I like in a cruise and he’ll do it. So Damn excited!
Have any bees been surprised with the same?

That sounds FANTASTIC !!
Once upon a time…
The Bride & her Family organized / paid for the Wedding…
And one of the few responsibilities for the Groom was organizing / paying for the Honeymoon.
When I got married the first time (circa 1980) that is for the most part how things were… he did all the Honeymoon Planning.
I have to say that it was great. We were young, and fresh faced Uni Grads… we had never been anywhere longer than an overnight here and there (mostly to go to other big events like a Friend’s Wedding, or another’s Graduation).
So going away for a week in staying in Hotels, Country Inns, B&Bs etc… eating in Restaurants etc was a A BIG DEAL for us.
You will no doubt LOVE it and feel truly pampered.
This time round, Mr TTR & I are Encores and much older… we planned our Honeymoon together, and paid for it together… BUT still he organized in some “surprises” for me as the Chivalrous Groom… a little pampering at the Spa, Special Dinners etc.
Lol, Honeymoons are awesome… definitely the best vacations ever. Which is part of the reason that here on WBee I highly recommend them… even if all a couple can spare is a few days after the Wedding to get away for a Mini-Moon.
Nothing like relaxing and basking in the time of being a Newlywed… it is a FABULOUS way to begin a Marriage IMO.
