crackktheskyy:  Your title alone cracked me up!!!

My Fiance registered for like a $1,000 cookware set and a $400 knife set!!  I said, “No one is going to buy you that, have you lost your mind!??”

Then he got all butthurt when he didn’t get anything “he wanted” for my bridal shower.

Oh, sheets.  I forgot to mention he registered for $150 sheets.  WTF!!!!

DH added toilet bowl scrubbers to ours.  One of my friends bought it as a joke.  lol.

I totally want one of these turkeys now.  That looks amazing.

Fiance wasn’t super involved with the registry because he didn’t think that anybody would use it, or that they’d buy something small.  Then, the first gifts started rolling in and he realized that some guests were actually spending quite a bit on registry gifts.  Then came the questions of “Hey, I could use a new camera lens.  Do you think I should add a new camera lens to the registry?” and “I wonder what would happen if we put video games on the registry?”  I don’t think he actually added anything new, but he gave it a lot of thought, LOL.

Most of the weird things on the registry were actually my doing, like pink plastic lawn flamingoes and a Portal companion cube cookie jar.  Family members actually fought over who got to buy the flamingoes.

Chocolate…yum!  I think your FI’s onto something.  That’s definitely one serving!

My DH wasn’t terribly interested in the registry, so he only contributed a few things: a life-sized Chewbacca wall decal, a kegerator, and a $400 kitchenaid mixer that I said I didn’t want but he was convinced I needed.

Thankfully, we got none.  I could actually use the mixer now, in hindsight, but our kitchen has so little space that it would spend most of it’s life on the floor in the hallway so it’s good we didn’t get it.

hyzenthlay:  I love Jenny Lawson! I bought her audiobook last year and have been reading her blog ever since. I honestly wish I knew her in real life because it was the first time I thought “Huh…someone understands my special brand of crazy.” Totally recommend her book/blog.
