we got engaged in december, and he randomly just asked me whether i *really* liked the ring or not. i said i loved it, i mean, the man could have bought me a gummy ring(as in the edible sweet type thing ;P) and id have worn the heck out of it.
and then he got all shy and explained that he didnt know about jewellery but when he saw it he chose it for a specific reason. the pic is really blurry (i dont know how you bees all got great pics of yours, i never found a macro setting or whatever on my camera =S)
anyway – he said we were both living our lives on completely different paths (me growing up in england, him in mexico) and then a chance meeting in china meant that the paths joined together and we made a future/life together – and thats what he thought when he saw the two little lines of diamonds that meet around the middle diamond! i explained it pretty badly but in my defence the explanation was in spanish!
i just thought he picked it because it was pretty! and turns out theres a whole thought process behind it. it just really touched me, and made me think sometimes i might be guilty of taking him for granted a bit and forgetting/not appreciating what i have…and then i realise how lucky i am and how sweet he is =)

Love it. I think it’s nice to hear someone appreciating the symbolism behind the ring not just the carat size.

Great story, and pretty ring… CONGRATULATIONS !!
PHOTO TIP – I too had a lot of trouble getting a good pic of my E-Ring… couldn’t get the dumb macro thingy to work on my camera either. Finally I found I was able to take a decent photo at about an arm’s length (make sure it is in focus) … then edit the picture using your Computer’s Photo Software (zoom in and crop it) before posting it here on WBee. Hope this helps,

Thanks! I’ve been having THE WORST time with it too, so I just use stock photos of my rings!
From what I can see, it’s a beautiful ring, but more than that, it has symbolic meaning, which is even better!! How nice!!!!

That is so sweet and touching. And as somebody who studied Spanish and has a degree in it, Spanish DOES make everything sound more romantic and beautiful!
