I hate Playstation. Playstation is my mortal enemy. I have never heard the things that come out of my fiancee’s mouth ever, other then when he’s rockin COD. I fall asleep to faint yells of, Im going to cut your balls off! Its lovely. When will they grow up…

I love being a gamer. The only PS3-related drama in our house is over which of us gets to play a newly released game on it first 🙂

@MsPanda:
Hahahahahaha, I effing hate it. I can’t even get up from the TV to get a glass of water. To him that means he gets to turn on the PS3.
Thank God the network went down though, cause at least I don’t have to hear him telling 10 year olds he’s going to “[email protected]$kin cut them” for awhile.

I love video games lol. My Fiance and I play PS3 together almost every day! I don’t think video games are something adults can’t do. 🙂

They can. Just not for hours instead of getting ready to go to family events or smelling like doritos cause you havent gotten up all day from your PS3.

I’m so glad others are in the same boat! The bad part is . . . I bought it for him for his birthday. Because that’s what everyone turning 30 needs. I also made the mistake of getting him FIFA 11 which apparently “cheats” and causes him to throw the controller around and yell angrily. But not quit playing, oh no. We just recently moved the ps3 upstairs to the bedroom so I’ve had to convince him that hearing the gunshots in GTA is not what I want to fall asleep to.

I hear ya!!! My Fiance hasn’t played his PS3 in awhile but he likes to play stupid games on the internet (Rift, WoW ect) where he can’t press pause or shut it off quickly when I need him to. Specially sucks going to bed alone!!! Ya ya, I know I’m going to get someone telling me about boundaries, tell him how you feel blah blah blah. We have an awesome relationship. but then he gets hooked on a new game and I don’t see him for a week >:(

I bought Ginger a PS3 for our anniversary and we play Little Big Planet together. It’s so much fun!! Other than that though… meh. It’s a little annoying when I want to watch a movie, or go out, or just do something and all he wants to do is shoot at computer people/aliens.
ETA: OH but what I really want to die? Photoshop. It’s worse than his game playing. He’ll get sucked into photoshop for days at a time. (Not exaggerating. The past week he’s been on photoshop from the time he gets up to the time I eventually manage to drag him to bed.)

@Bostonsmom:
The going to bed alone thing I agree with though. My Fiance works shift work. Its nice to spend time together when I get home, since he’s already been yelling profanities at childern all day long while Im at work.

@maybride2011: I hate it because my Fiance is annoyingly helpful. He’s great at cooking and laundry, he’ll come home on his lunch break and throw something in the crock pot and then zip back to work. Last night, he took both the kids to my older son’s soccer game while I layed up in bed with my laptop because I got my wisdom teeth out. So I hate being like, ok yes you are a great father and do more than your share around the house so you aren’t allowed to play games!!! I mean, pay attention to me too!!! it’s like all or nothing with him. Either he’s alll helpful for awhile and then he ignores me for awhile. I want balance!!!!!

Oh and he also makes me watch the “replays” of his soccer moves on FIFA. Like that’s much more important that the studying or whatever else I have going on.
