So, I posted a thread a little while ago in which I expressed concern that my reception dress and my ceremony dress looked REALLY similar. Here it is for reference:
I need serious reassurance about my reception dress 🙁 Help?!
I just recieved final pictures of my reception dress and I LOVE IT!!! I really think the dresses have enough of a difference to be percieved by most people. So… Here she is!!! Please let me know if you see anything that needs to be corrected before they send it. Thanks bees!

That dress is just stunning!

I like everything except the skirt. I’m sure it will look lovely on you.

The back seems crooked to me. It could be just the way it’s on the manequin, though? Not the lace detail or anything, but the actual buttons. Do you see what I mean?

I agree with the previous poster, where the buttons meet the V in the back seem off to me as well. The dress is beautiful!

I think the buttons look crooked too. I would have those adjusted. Otherwise looks fantastic though!

I noticed the button thing, but I honestly think that it’s just because they aren’t fastened over the zipper.

I never would hav noticed the buttons! Thanks bees! 🙂

I agree with other PPs about the buttons, but other than that, it’s beautiful.

Yep, I noticed the buttons/zipper thing right off the bat. Looks great otherwise!

That dress is beautiful but I do have to agree with others about the buttons in the back looking crooked a bit.

I remember your previous thread! I think the dress is beautiful…I noticed the buttons thing too so I would double check that is a non issue.
The only thing that I am wondering if you are okay with now since you have seen the finished dress is about the sharp skirt seam. I think it looks nice with the dress but I know the skirt you wanted was angled a bit and there wasn’t a defined straight seam. But I think now that the defined seam really gives a different look to the dress vs your ceremony dress. I seriously love it! 🙂

@jlc3: This is what I call a “fortunate mistake”. Lol, it definitely is more abrupt of a transition than I envisioned but I think that detail will help differentiate the two. Also, I played with color in photoshop and saw that if you make the two dresses different colors, they don’t even look like the same STYLE of dress. This makes me more encouraged because I think it illustrates that many white dresses look similar in pictures. I think the differences will be much more pronounced in person. Especially since Jasmine’s verified that my dress really sparkles a lot in person. I’m happy with it!
Also, I was given a quote of $700 to bustle my ceremony dress(on top of the $600 I’m already paying to ballgown-ify it). I’m not paying $1300 for alterations so I’m just not bustling it. If the dresses turn out to be really similar, that’s okay too! People will just think I adjusted my train 🙂 All’s well that ends well 🙂

BEAUTIFUL! I remember your previous post, too. So glad you love the way it turned out!
I agree with others about the buttons, but it looks like it’s simply becase the top buttons aren’t laying flat, and the bottom buttons are. You could just email them to confirm if you’re worried.
