I have been studying the boards for months to get together a game plan to have my first pair of DIY shoes. I want for all of the members of my bridal party to have sparkley shoes, so I had to get started in making some samples so that I could help them to get some ideas together. I went shopping and watch the discount racks to find some potential options that would be good to switch up. Then, I picked up the simplest shoes that I could find just to get my feet wet. This is what I came up with! I ultimately want to include glitter, beads, rhinestones, and peacock feather options – I want all of the shoes to look similar, but I do not want for them to be identical. All in all, we have about 15 people who are going to need shoes made.
It took me 1 hour 45 minutes for the first shoe. It took me about 1 hour and 20 minutes for the second. If I had a magic rhinestone tray, I think that I could speed up my pick-up time significantly!
I included a few shoes that I am thinking about doing for my Project Shoe Remix!
