Hmmm… I have written and re-written this post. I just want to be as nice as possible.

I think for your first one, it looks nice! Is it super fluffy like other tule ones I have seen, unfortunatly no. BUT that doesn’t mean it looks bad!!

Could you stick your fingers in there and separate the tulle a bit?

Even if you don’t, it does look cool! It’s unique!

I don’t think it looks choppy as you say.  In the first photo it actually kind of looks like feathers.  If you don’t like the texture then it sounds like you have a good direction to go for next time.  Could you try gently shaping it with some scissors?

I think it looks great, even if you throw in some white and maybe have it a little longer, I think that will make it really “pop”!

I love it!!  I’m DIY-stupid, and I’m so jealous of everyone else’s awesome homemade pomanders.  I have had a styrofoam ball and a few packages of cupcake liners in a bag for weeks now, and I just keep thinking…this is going to be a terrible idea……….
