Relax and take a deep breath. I HATE clothing shopping, so I was not looking forward to dress shopping. Most of the time, the consultants are very helpful as to what you will look good one or helping to find your vision. Some can get pushy at sales time, but don’t let let them talk you into buying a dress if your not ready. I can’t say you will have that “dress moment”- I didn’t, but you will definitly know when you have found the one because you won’t be able to stop comparing it to other dresses. My one piece of advbice is have a budget number inmind and make sure you tell that to the consultant- hyou don’t want to fall in love with a dress you can’t afford or will regret spending that much money on.

Yes! I was reeeally not looking foward to dress shopping because I thought it would be a huge hassle, the people would be pushy or rude, and I wouldn’t be able to find anything I liked within our budget. I was lucky and received great service at all of the bridal shops I visited. Nobody was pushy and they were very patient when I tried on gown after gown. I do second ShennaB2b’s recommendation, don’t let them bring out anything you can’t afford. The first two dresses I tried on, I didn’t know at the time, were about $400 more than our budget and I absolutely loved them. Unfortunately I had to choose something cheaper. I still love the dress I decided on, but if I had the extra money I would go buy one of those first two in a heartbeat.

I was nervous before I went too.  It will be fun though!  Are you shopping in Mass?  I went to 5-6 stores and didn’t have any bad experiences.  Just makes sure you wear the right undergarments!

You’re probably already at the shop.  At a minimum, I would want to bring a strapless bra.  Good luck!
