- Wedding: November 1999
So, I’m getting married in Savannah, GA and live about an hour away. Both of our parents live in MI over 15 hours away. His parents got to see the venue last month. My parents are coming down the end of this month and want to finish things up, go over things with the vendors (they’re paying half/his parents are paying half but we’re making all the arrangements). Well I called my hotel contact to make an appointment for all of us to come down, she’s fine. They’re supposed to assign a coordinator for a cermony from another company for the ceremony. I wanted to meet with them all together. I gave the other coordinator 5 different days we could meet 3 weeks from now and she won’t find time to meet knowing the people paying won’t be back down here until the wedding.
I totally realize I’m worrying about nothing and people plan weddings at this location remotely all the time. But now I’m feeling worried and put off and like this wasn’t the right location choice. I hate feeling crazy and emotional about something that I feel like should probably not be that big of a deal. I just want to make sure my parents are happy with the location too.
Normally I’m pretty level headed and have been talking everyone else off the ledge, and now here I am on that ledge but can’t talk about to the people I normally would (finace, parents) because then they’ll be on the ledge. Ugh…so talk me off the crazy town ledge please?
