I’m making my own! I’ve done two trials, the second MUCH more successful than the first, but I am doing buttercream, not fondant. Looks good!

I would at least make the cake from scratch instead of a box…

I’m making my own-for 250 people. But I’m a pastry chef!

She is making her own wedding cake here–a boxed mix is less stressful…plus no one would even notice the difference.

Hi there! Very nice. If you have any desire to make it look bigger, but maybe don’t want/need more cake, create a fake layer or two. I did this for a friends wedding cake (ps I am not a professional Laughing) – i just added a few styrofoam layers and covered them in fondant.

For my wedding my friends and family helped me bake and decorate cupcakes. Here are some pics.

Good luck!!

I’m making my own too!  this was my last trial a couple months ago, I’m due for another one coming up.  I’m just gonna go with buttercream though, I really like the look of fondant and I like how it’s a little more sturdy, but I can see fondant really confusing some people at our wedding, half of the people would probably peel it off!  I’m going to make a three tier cake and then have a few more sheet cakes in the back to be sliced so there is enough for everyone, I don’t trust myself carrying anymore than three tiers!

Great Job on yours!!!
