I guess she was just trying to agree with you? Meh. Some people just don’t have filters.

Don’t stress too much about it, this is a happy time for you so don’t let anyone ruin that! 🙂

Hmm. I think if my Future Sister-In-Law said this to me I would take it as more of a jab toward her brother than toward me or the ring. You know, like “my stupid brother should have gotten you a bigger ring” kind of thing. Honestly I don’t think I would be offended by it…

@LMD & @abirdword:  *FACEPALM!* I am so glad I have gotten to the point where I will straight up tell someone I didn’t like what they said or how they said it. I refuse to be a doormat any longer

@LMD:  maybe she felt comfortable to say it because you were sharing that you wanted a bigger stone…not that she should have said it…but the conversation was opened up at your end i wouldn be too surprised that some ppl comment on the size beecause you are upgrading

edit: like i said…i don’t think shge should have sid it..it was rude..but i understand how it cam eout in a awkward way

@LMD:  That is when you just stare that them with the “I cannot believe you are doing this” eyes and calmly say “watch yourself”. The you proceed to put your hair back and take off your earings.

Well… you’re upgrading it because it WAS too small for you, right? I mean hello – you are doubling the size. So while it wasn’t the nicest thing to say, it’s true. She’s probably felt she was giving you validation and supporting you. I don’t personally think .5 ct is “small” but maybe she just wanted to be all supportive and what not.

@LMD:  Gotcha. Well – that was uncalled for. Don’t let it bother you, she’s jealous/insecure.

@LMD:  How old is she? Not saying that’s an excuse.
