@s2bmrscook:  I’m not married, but sometimes I get asked about kids in the future. I either say “My job makes me seriously hate kids” or “I’m extremely undecided about having children”. Both are true, haha.

@s2bmrscook:  You have a medical reason why you can’t have kids right? I believe you mentioned that on a previous thread. Tell anyone who asks that and make them feel like assholes. Otherwise, I just give a rude answer to a rude question.

@s2bmrscook:  That is so inappropriate… “You were a nice person in school.”  WTFFFFFFFFF!!!!

I would love to have babies but having a kid has NO correlation to whether you’re a nice person or not….  In fact, I appreciate those who acknowledge that just because everyone else is doing it, doesn’t mean it’s right for YOU.  Plus, you’re being nice to our planet by not adding more humans 😉

I just laugh & say “Do we really need a mini Stephanie running around?  That could be dangerous!”  Then politely move onto a different subject of conversation :]

@s2bmrscook:

I don’t tell people that I don’t want children anymore. It just leads to arguments and insults.

You can say “We love our life just the way it is.” People will still try to convince you though.

Just live for you and your happiness.

I will be having children but I do think it is entirely rude for people to contact you like that. I would say in all honesty…If you want to have kids so bad then go make them yourself. but thats just me 😀

“I’ll have one after you have (another)one”

Usually works on older people who have adult kids.  Works even better on burnt-out new moms (no, I’m not going to pop one out just so you have a new baby to coo at, you KNOW what I’ll have to deal with!)

We plan to try for them one day, but not now and I don’t know when and I don’t know if we’ll even be able to, so I’d rather people just think we’re never planning on it so they stop asking!

I need suggestions for the more passive baby comments.  One of DH’s relatives started a BETTING POOL at the Christmas party on when I’ll be pregnant!  Who DOES that?!?

@AlwaysSunny:  LOLOLOL!!

I haven’t dealt with this yet but if we ever do I already know my response after “why wouldn’t you have kids??” or “omg but kids are so life changing” or whatever questioning bull people come up with will be something along the lines of “I don’t need to push a child out of my vagina to feel fulfilled or important.”
