Fiance & I decided to do chocolate covered oreos as favors for our wedding. Ive heard its super easy and super hard — so I said, Im trying it tonight! I literally went to walmart and bought some melting chocolate, oreos, and the cutest sprinkles they had (which wasnt much) Fiance & I did the trial run and it was CAKE! So easy!!! We did not use a cookie mold or anything special which we *may* do for the big day — Fiance says they look great as is, and I think either way would be fine! They taste delicious and I think they look cute! If I were a guest, I would be thrilled to receive these as favors. If I were to buy them off etsy and give each of my guests 3 cookies, it would run me 600$. WOW! If I DIY, Its going to cost 100$. No brainer for us! So here are the pics of the oreos bees!!
(Keep in mind they didnt have the sprinkes I wanted which will be pastel pink and irredescent pinkish/white to go with my theme)

They look really good and pretty! I am sure people will love them. Only suggestion is maybe to spread the sprinkles out more.

I would skip the pink chocolate, it looks a bit unappetizing to me. Something about the color reminds me of stomach lining and a little bit of peptobismol. Stick to the white chocolate and add more pink sprinkles!

@beachbride1216: Haha i thought that too! Im iffy about them. Id rather keep the white and cover them with pastel sprinkles. Like these:
