Agh, just had a couple change their rsvp to nos, after giving the final count to the vendor. The wife is pregnant and decided today the drive would be too much for her (actually I guess 18 hours ago, because they decided to tell me via Facebook, rather than calling, as another friend did weeks prior to change his rsvp after they had a vacation scheduling error). I’m hoping at least we won’t have to pay for their alcohol (pre-negotiated price per person for the 5 hours). We were near the cusp of our guaranteed minimum so we didn’t bother to under report, as we had considered doing. Goodbye $250!

that is SO annoying. It’s not too late for them to refund your money?
We had three no shows and they were all because of health issues.

That is really obnoxious. Honestly, we had a few guests change their answer to “yes” after I submitted my tally…maybe the same will happen to you and they can take the place of your “nos”?

we had two families tell us that there were deaths in the family and they could not make it, one family ended up showing up ( it was great we could not believe it!)
Our total count was 76, 3 people unexpectidly showed up and 4 people did not show up, so we ended up with 75 people but paid for 76, oh well could have been much worse. It worked out well, while I was getting read, the groom and the inn keeper were taking care of the unexpected guests and making sure everything was set up 🙂
