I would start eating more food.  1280 calories is pretty low for an average sized woman.  The minimum you need to eat is 1200 calories.

I feel like myfitnesspal usually suggest about 1200 for a lot of women.  It seems to be the go to on there.  I know for me, it suggested that but if I ate that little my weight loss would actually stall.  Everyone is different and you have to remember it’s just a phone app πŸ™‚  How tall are you?  If you’re not restricting and you don’t feel hungry I don’t think it’s a big deal, but for most women 1280 is really low.  Myfitnesspal also has it’s own set of boards, you may find more answers on there πŸ™‚

@ImaStarr:  I think this depends on how quickly you set to lose. My friend and I both (independently) set to lose about a pound a week, and have 1600. It gave me just above 1200 when I plugged in 2 pounds, but I love food FAR too much for that!

Hey I am in the same situation with this app..

not trying to thread-jack here, just need some clarification here.. what does it mean when you do not consume enough calories and your weightloss stalls? How does that make sense/ work?  @ImaStarr

@Seashells7  When you’re not eating enough you can send your body into starvation mode.  So when I was eating too few calories I would very very slowly lose a pound but quickly put it back on if I had a day where I ate more than the 1200 calories.  Basically for me I stayed between gaining/losing the same 2-3 lbs.  When I upped my intake to 1500 I quickly lost those 3 lbs and didn’t put them back on again.
