My hips hurt so bad. I’m 36 weeks and lifting my knees to put on pants literally causes me to groan in pain. When will this get better? I know it’s just nature’s way of loosening my hips and pelvis for birth, but will it get better before labor starts? Maybe you ladies have some tips or stretches that will make it a little more bearable?

I hate to be “that mom” but I’m here to tell you this does not get better until they are born! This pain is from your hips naturally spreading to accommodate the baby when labor comes- they are physically spreading apart. The last 4 weeks are just, sigh, miserable. I feel for ya.

Ugh, I started stalking these baby boards since we agreed to start TTC/NTNT this month, and you guys are SERIOUSLY FREAKING ME OUT.
But I hope it gets better for you, and like texasgirl29 said, you’ll get to meet the new love of your life once it’s all over!

I think we are pretty much screwed 😉
I think any of these pains we are feeling are going to just get worse until we give birth.
Have you tried using heat? The other night I heated up one of those “rice buddies” and put it on my hip. I have found that warm baths, heat pads, etc…make it feel a little better.
Hang in there! We are getting close…we can do this!!! 🙂

OMG! I am so sorry. That part sucks. It literally feels like they are detaching from your body. I have no good news, but I support you in all of your pain and suffering! =)

@firsttimemom: It could be worse…you could have been going through it for months. 🙂 And one day soon you will forget all about it.
