And it was a boy, when the entire time she had been told it was a girl! They bought girl clothes, girl accessories, decorated the room for a girl, had a girl name picked out, and EVERYTHING.
How often does this happen??? I thought it was almost unheard of today, but it certainly happened!

@AcheneMalefic: My sister had a friend who was told that she was having a boy. She had an ultrasound done at 6 months and they assured her that it was a boy. Three months later, she had a beautiful, healthy daughter. It happens.

Wow, I really didn’t think this would still happen! I have heard though that it is much more likely to happen when they guess girl and it turns out to be a boy, rather than vice-versa. I guess if they don’t see the boy area, they guess girl but sometimes it can be wrong! My DH’s parents expected his youngest sibling to be a girl, but when he was born they were quite surprised and had to exchange all the pink things! I thought with technological advances today though that this would be much less common.

Wow, crazy, I thought these mistakes were pretty much gone these days. I guess not! Ok, this makes me feel better about being team green — at least we’ll have a name picked out for a boy & a girl!

I thought this was very rare but I’ve heard of it a few times now. I know I took a pink and a blue outfit to the hospital just in case lol. I got yellow and green Winnie the Pooh things for his room to be safe too.
