This is ridiculous!! My SIL was an It Works consultant for a while and spammed Facebook with it, but fortunately we live in different states so I never had to buy anything.

Stay strong, keep saying no, get your Fiance to back you up and vent all you need 🙂

This is the sort of thing that makes me happy I am an expat (or migrant whichever you prefer…) Beachbody, Herbalife, Passion Parties, Lipsticks, Tupperware etc. All this pyramid scheme, “I am a coach!” stuff…it’s on my Facebook feed but at least I am less obliged to buy it.

smalltownbigworld :  If I get more than one invitation to an “online (bullshit product) party” from any given person, that person gets blocked from sending me invites/messages on Facebook. I don’t have time for that shit.

I hate those things. One of my good friends just started selling Lala Leggings and Mary Kay and she is constantly hounding me to buy stuff from her, enough that I have completely stopped talking to her. She tries to guilt everyone into buying this crap because “she can’t support her family without it.” Darling Husband and I have given her and her family money and food every time we drive 4 hours to visit them since we feel bad that they don’t have a lot. So much for that. We are having a baby in October and I don’t need to waste my money on crap I don’t need/doesn’t work/doesn’t fit right. /end rant

OP it’s not up to you to fund SIL’s job.  They need to find customer elsewhere and get over it – they are 100% being bitches about it.

I have a hard and firm policy of never buying anything from a MLM company because I don’t want to get involved in that shizzz and set expecations at all. Don’t care if you are selling essential oil infused leggings that will make my eyelashes grow long and lush, all my health problems go away, and my ass look like Heidi Klum’s… ain’t gonna happen. People throwing those “parties” are basically asking me to spend MY hard earned money on stuff I don’t need so THEY can live. yeah….
