I have almost finished my Bridesmaid gifts. They just threw me an out of control, crazy, fun Batchelorette and so I thought it was important to at least give them a little something to say thanks. Sadly, my budget is pretty tight so I went with more practical than exciting and our just for fun ideas. I found really cheap ($2) but nicely made wooden jewelry boxes. I had to sand and paint/paper them (Paint $2 for all colors total, Paper $2 total) I made each box unique and tried to make them match their bathrooms or bedrooms.
I then proceeded to fill the boxes…but not with jewelry (my bridesmaids all have their own tastes and I want them to show it at the wedding rather than be a robot). So I made a little Bridesmaid Emergency Kit (whatever they are called) and just put them in the box.
So this is a pic of the open box (sorry its from my phone-blurry) but I put a mini pedicure kit in the bottom (Micheals $1 each) not too exciting but I know they will all use it- it even had nail clippers and a file! Then I bought packets of Advil ($1 for a box of 3) Hand Sanitizer ($1 for box of 3) ChapStick ($1 for 2 tubes) 5 Safety Pins (from my house) 10 bobby pins-tied with a ribbon (also from my house) Some Gum ($1 for pack of 4) and then I hope to buy them each a nail polish ($5-6 each) and Flip Flops which I will Bedazzle ($5 tops!)
So about a grand total of about $60 Total ! So for the Bride on a budget not a bad idea. And thankfully my girls know how much I love them and how tight my budget is… they dont expect anything at all so it will be a lovely suprise. I just wanted to share.
