@LilliePad:  i don’t think it’s much higher than 161 at all… maybe like 2 mm at most?  the prong head is set into the band, and i think it ends up being at the same height as 161.  i really love both rings, though, and i was really torn between the two as well so i totally understand the dilemma lol. my ring hasn’t really gotten caught on anything, and i work in a lab so i put gloves on multiple times a day and it just turns to the side and is fine!  i think the main decision between the two settings comes down to the milgrain… in the end, i really liked the milgrain on 144 so that’s why we went with it. if i didn’t want milgrain, i would’ve wanted 161 and just made sure i had a local jeweler to take care of any pave stones falling out.  i had a RHR with pave stones, and 3 fell out over the years, and it was no problem to get it fixed each time. 🙂

@sugarpea:  I loved your ring so much that I went and got myself one!!

Except mine is cushion cut 2.2 carat and forever brilliant instead of amora.
