@goingtotherooftopoflove:  I’m so sorry for your loss!  I know how difficult it is to lose a grandparent.  It’s so sweet that she was able to see those photos of you in your wedding gown before she passed, though.

@goingtotherooftopoflove:  I was also away (not in another country, but living in another state several hours away) when my grandmother passed.  That really was one of the hardest things.  My mom called me to tell me what had happened (it was expected, as she had cancer and had been very sick for a while), and I booked a flight to my hometown immediately.  It was tough having to deal with travel when I was already dealing with so many emotions (my grandmother and I were very close), but it was definitely worth it to be back with my family for the funeral.  I’m glad to hear that you and your brother will both be able to make it back for your grandmother’s funeral.  It can help to be around family during a difficult time.

@goingtotherooftopoflove:  im so sorry for your loss, i know this is not easy and i hope the God can supply the needed strength to both you and your family. The promise at revelation 21:4 brings my husband much comfort and hope after he lost his grandmother years ago i hope it can do the same for you.

@goingtotherooftopoflove:  So very, very sorry. I just went through this in March, and it was unbelievably painful. Some days, even 2 months later, I’ll see something that reminds me of her, and be just overwhelmed with this feeling of loss. It’s inescapable. There’s nothing you can do; it’s a problem you can’t solve. We’re all helpless when it comes to death, and my only advice is to accept it as the inevitable end of your grandmother’s wonderful and fulfilling life.
