So I finally talked my mom into resizing her wedding band so she could wear it again (hasn’t fit in twenty years) we were looking around the jewelry store waiting for the jeweler to come out with her ring, and I mentioned that I’d like to get a thin spacer band to wear between my wedding band and ering, to keep the band up and off the prongs of my solitaire. She says to me:
“I don’t want to sound pushy by offering it, but you could wear my grandmother’s wedding band. it’s just a thin little gold band, but it sounds like just what your looking for”
It’s PERFECT! Can’t be anymore then 1mmx1mm, so it sits flush up against the prong. It’s 10k gold, so hopefully it will hold up well enough to wear another lifetime. I’m just so happy with it…now if I could only settle on a wedding ring!

Oh wow, that’s really awesome! I wish we had similar jewelry in my family. It looks great 🙂

I’m all out of apologies for ginormous pictures…I give up trying to resize them on my computer. (what’s a good alternative, should I resize and post using photobucket maybe?)

That’s great and now you have a ring with family history as well. Wonderful!

@SuzySchmoozy: I’ve been trying to resize using screen shots- I open up the big picture, then make it smaller and take a screen shot of the smaller one so that it actually stays smaller. maybe that would work for you?
