So I decided I did not want the traditional guesbook. It just seems kinda pointless to me. So instead we are having out guests write wedding wishes/advice on postcards (which I also am going to make) and have my Maid of Honor mail them to us randomly throughout our first year of marriage.
I wanted to put the postcards in a mailbox, so I went to Loews and bought a plain white one (in retrospect I wish I bought a cool vintage one). I decided it need a little something. So I added some fabric tape and some vinyl stickers for the “address” (8.4.12 is our wedding date). Here is the finished product:
What do you think? Anyone else not having a traditional guestbook? What are you doing?

I love it! It’s very clean and fresh. So beautiful, simple, almost elegant…as elegant as a mailbox can be. 🙂

The mailbox was our runner up, but we realized we would never do anything with the postcards.
We’ve decided to have guests sign a white bird house that will serve as a book end in our living room.
