Half down will be just fine. I guess that does depend on how LONG your hair is, but if it’s not super long, I’d imagine it will be fine half-down. The dress doesn’t have to dictate your hair style. Do what you are most comfortable with. Yes, your dress has a lot going on (it’s GORGEOUS, by the way) so whatever you do just do something simple with your hair.

How big is the tattoo? Could you do a really loose low bun or something?

I would also suggest all up, I had a sweetheart neckline with beading and I had it all up….However, I think you could get away with half up if you only had hair on your back, not so much in the front like on your shoulders though so it doesn’t take away from your dress. Something like this?

Ooh I think low bun – you know what I’m talking about right? I do think half-down will be fine if kept simple but now I’m thinking the low bun would be adorable. Plus, you’d sort of have it up AND down. Lol.

    Here’s an example:

You could always use some tatoo cover up if you want to.  One of my bridesmaids decided to use it for her wedding since here tatoo on her upper back is super blotch and faded and didn’t want to get it redone.  She said it works pretty well.  I’m not sure how low the tat is but I think a low updo could be a good elegant solution.

That dress calls for an elegant high up do, if you ask me.

First of all, beautiful dress!  I totally think you could do half up, half down.  I don’t really think of any hairstyle that has be “done” by a hairstylist as informal.  You can make any type of hairstyle formal by glamming it up!

Gorgeous gown By The Way. I would wear your hair half up and half down. You don’t want your tattoo sticking out like a sore thumb. You can definitely get away with wearing this hairstyle.

I think that the photo from @stbMohror: is gorgeous.  If you added some crystals in your hair done like that would be very pretty with that gown. 🙂
