I had my hair and make-up trial on the weekend, I loved the hair but I’ve never worn make-up before so was slightly shocked by it (not that I didn’t like it in photos).
She went abit heavy in the foundation, I was abit excited when she came and my face went all red (like it does) and so she tried to counter act this (with a redness primer as well). On the day she will go abit easier on it and I’m trying to calm down the redness on my face. I have been having a hives occurrence as well which wasn’t helping either!
Also we are removing most of the shimmer and moving towards more Matte colour as the flash was bouncing too much.
Do you think I could pull off a redder lipstick – I had wanted to but my mom talked me out of it. I’m going for a vintage theme and have a ivory over gold lace dress.

I love your hair! I think you could go with a slightly redder lip color, not to crazy though. You look beautiful!

Beautiful! I def think you could go with a redder lipstick. It would fit your vintage look perfectly.

I love the hair! And yes, I think that you could go with a redder lip.

You look stunning and IMO I think you should wear a much redder lipstick. Though I wore quite a bright red and loved it. The hair and vintage theme scream to me ‘Redden those lips!!! 🙂

It’s pretty! I like that you makeup is understated but visible. You could definite do a redder lip for the vintage feel but check it out before the wedding and make sure you like it.

She avoided any blush as she was worried that my redness would “bleed” though eventually – I don’t think it will (it didn’t after 6 hrs) so perhaps a light blush would work.
I will definitely go more red1
Thank ladies 🙂

oh yes, i’d definitely suggest a bit of blush. i’m a MUA and i do mostly bridal makeup. blush really makes a difference, especially in photos. helps with the whole “blushing bride” thing. 🙂

I totally think you could pull off a redder lip, when I was blonde it washed me out, but now that I’m a brunette that stuff can be pulled off. And it’ll go with the vintage too, nothing too crazy though of course, lol.
