$13 and 8 hours later… my handknit bridal bolero/shrug/thing! It’s meant to cover my arms/back and to wear later on in the evening as it gets cooler, or when we are saying goodbye to our guests. 🙂
I think it fits well with my theme, which is a natural/woody feel (it has wood buttons, tied together with blush string). The yarn is blanket yarn, which has the softest feel.

I think that looks awesome! I love the rustic kind of feel it has 🙂 Did you use a pattern? I wish i had those skills!

that is great! I really like it.

I just used a Knifty Knitter (sold at craft stores) – it’s so so easy and recommend it if anyone wants to try doing this or a scarf. Originally it only had the one stitch but it was too short, so I elongated the ends (using another stitch), and I think it looks good that way. It’s just an oversized scarf (width wise) and undersized length wise.

I love that you used blanket yarn. I love the feel of blanket yarn. Seriously the so soft and cozy feeling! And that boleroshrugthingamajig is aboslutely adorable! I want to run to the craft store and make one for myself… but it would turn out more like something from Dr. Seuss rather than a cute shrug like yours. 🙁

Just wanted to let you know that you inspired me to start knitting again. I haven’t knitted since I was a little girl, but Future Mother-In-Law showed me basics again last night, so after a bit of practice, I want to start on a similar bolero/shrug. Will show it off here if it ever gets finished.
