I guess I’m not sure why it would bother you. If he likes his ring, why does it matter whether or not he wears it to bed? Some people’s fingers swell during the night, so maybe that’s why he wants to take it off–to avoid discomfort in the morning.

I know a lot of people, including a lot of my girl friends who don’t wear their bands to bed. I really wouldn’t worry. My Fiance won’t wear his at night, when he’s working out, boating, running, etc….

I keep mine on most of the time but if I have had a lot of salt and my fingers start swelling – those rings come right off!

I asked my FH, and he agrees that taking a ring off to sleep is more comfortable. Nonetheless…it’s kind of your hubby’s choice to make, based on his personal preference. Sorry if that isn’t what you wanted to hear. =/

I don’t think that is a big deal… At least he doesn’t mind wearing it while he is awake!

I don’t wear my rings to bed, or to shower, or to do dirty outdoorsy stuff. My fingers swell easily, and I like to be extra nice to my ring and make sure it stays clean and undamaged. Don’t worry about it as long as he remembers to put on his ring in the morning.

I know that a lot of people do, but I personally can’t imagine wearing my rings to bed. I would find them constricting and uncomfortable. I take off all my jewellery before going to bed. I don’t think your Darling Husband is being unreasonable at all. Not wearing a ring doesn’t make you any less married.

I dont wear my ring to bed, or in the shower. In fact, I haven’t worn it all day because I have been home sick and just haven’t put it on. I think different folks just have different comfort levels but also different expectations.

I take mine off sometimes, when sleeping or during the day especially with the humid weather this summer, it can irritate your finger. It doesn’t mean I dont love it. It’s just sometimes it is not that comfortable. Don’t let it bother you. My husband just had to have his wedding ring cut off his finger because his finger was too swollen.

oh don’t let that bother you, is it because it gets tight on his finger at night?  i take both of mine off every night before going to bed because my fingers swell and i wake up all uncomfortable and it hurts to get them off.  It’s no big deal, doesn’t mean a thing 🙂  I’m just one of those people who’s fingers swell and shrink throughout the day, maybe he is too?  although i suppose he’d have the same problem whether he had the decorative band vs. the plain one, so maybe i don’t get why he wants to take it off?  either way, it’s not a big deal.

I wouldn’t let it bother you.  Both my husband and I take off our rings when cleaning or working on machinery, at night, and for showers.  It’s not like he is taking it off to go to bars and pick up girls.  I don’t feel like people need to keep their ring on all the time to be married.

as long as he isn’t taking them off before going to bed with someone else! hehehe.. i don’t think you should worry about it, just tell him he has to cuddle you more to make up for taking his ring off 🙂

I love wearing my rings…but I hate wearing them to bed.  My hands seems to get hotter and I hate the swollen feeling I get when I wake up.  I think it’s totally normal not to wear your wedding band 24/7.
