…and he’s turned into a teenage girl about it. For real, I’ve never seen a guy so happy about a piece of jewelry (made even more adorable with him being a great big huge house framer, tall and full o’ muscles..ooing and aahing over a ring)
We were married last week, after a last minute decision to elope. We started the planning process on a Sunday, and were married in Vegas three days later. We managed to get my wedding ring shipped to our hotel room in time, but we knew his “dream” ring wouldn’t make it. At first, he said we’d just have a one ring ceremony, then we’d get his ring when we got back. Then while out and about buying our cloths for our mini-trip, he saw a tungsten ring at Sears ($50 btw, great deal for a local place in New Hampshire) and said he “liked it enough” for the ceremony. I thought it was a little pricey for a stand-in ring (especially as how the one he wanted was less the $30) but he was quite insistant that I put a ring on his finger during the ceremony. (which is adorable. How could I say no?)
That was ring #1. He lost it in the airport before we even made it to Vegas.
ring #2 was a stainless steel cheepo that we picked up at our hotel room in Las Vegas. It was a whopping $8. Honestly, it looks amazing, very shiny, never would know it was so damn cheap. A few days after coming home, my darling admitted that he still really wanted his black ring, and asked me to place the order.
ring #3 (and honestly, I suspect he will go through many more as the years go by, the man would loose his butt if it wasnt attached to his body) is his black ceramic ring. I have to admit, I also fell in love with it. Perfect ring, super duper manly, and solid black, just what he wanted.
He snapped this picture for me to share. My diamond looks totally washed out, but I couldn’t talk him into letting me retake it for better sparkle (he had an OMG-Im-sitting-here-taking-pictures-of-a-ring-on-my-hand-this-is-dorky moment and decided that was enough)
Black ceramic, we couldn’t be happier!
