Sansa85 : Ugh, no one ever wants a crash course in heart medicine!! It’s nice they were able to do it in the cath lab, at least!
He has zero information about it unfortunately. As soon as his cardiologist mentioned surgery, he kind of zoned out. I had a million questions when he told me about it and he didn’t ask anything. He should have another echo-cardiogram in July to gauge where he’s at, I think I’ll go with him because he just doesn’t retain info very well when he’s stressed. After seeing your post yesterday, we went for a nice long walk & had a healthy dinner. I told him we need to start looking after ourselves better, so here’s to living long and healthy lives!

Hang in there, bee! Is your husband on a statin? With his personal and family history of heart disease, he should be! Statins reduce your risk of heart attacks and strokes and are really well tolerated medications.

sparkosity : he is. He just had his follow up, his heart looks great. It looks like it was a piece of plaque that broke off and then got stuck, causing the heart attack. A freak thing really. We are still going to be watching sodium intake and such though.
They adjusted his meds a little, they are also going to do an echo again in three months, the cardiologist isn’t entirely sure exactly where the murmur is located. When they know for sure they will know if it’s going to cause trouble later on

My daughter is pretty under the weather today but my husband is feeling great! I’m pushing fluids and popsicles on her to keep her hydrated. She’s not in any pain but she’s not feeling well.

My goodness, Bee. It sounds like you have your own little post surgical unit to manage.
I am happy to hear that your daughter is doing all right. No doubt, she’s not very comfortable, but, she will get there.
If hubby is fretting over the lawn, I would imagine he’s definitely feeling stronger.
You mowed the lawn?! I can’t even imagine. There are people who will do that if you give them money.
Remember your self care, Bee.

It’s back to work for both of us today. My husband is back to normal and is feeling great!
My daughter is still very upset. She will start crying at the drop of a hat and will say “I can’t stop crying 😭”. We’ve had lots and lots of snuggles while I was home, and Tylenol makes her feel better. She still isn’t in pain but I’m wondering if she just doesn’t know how to explain how she’s feeling.
She’s with my in-laws this week, to give her one more full week before going back to school. She had another crying session this morning so it seems like it was a good decision, to give her some more down time
I cannot believe how much I miss her though. I spent all of those days with her and had some challenging moments, but I just want to get home and snuggle her again!
