Oops! Sorry!  Maybe you could try playing it off as an early April fools joke?  Don’t be too hard on the guy.  Sometimes, they are like puppies, when they get excited, they just can’t control themselves and they may pee the carpet.  Or post your EPT on FB.  Good Luck to you on a healthy pregnancy.

He can still take it down or just claim its a joke and that a friend hijacked his account.

@catracha:  Well, you could. But its different if you dont want to.

Hypothetically that is the point of a practical joke. To make people believe something so that fact that they responded doesnt make any difference.

You could still claim its a joke and then call those closest to you that you are just covering your tracks, but it is in fact real.

And if something bad does happen, there is no reason you have to make any FB announcement. Those closest to you will know. Those that arent that close to you do not have to be informed of any developments because they will have thought it a joke anyway.

@catracha:  I’m sorry the cat’s out of the bag early. All you can do now is smile and stay positive and make the most of this exciting time, even if you didn’t plan to announce it quite yet. I wouldn’t back track b/c then when it comes out that you are indeed pregnant, people might be angry if you “lied” to them by using an April Fools excuse. If, God forbid, something bad happens, maybe your Darling Husband will have to be the once to share since he’s the one who announced it to the world early. But as long as you stay positive and take care of yourself, hopefully this baby will be a sticky one! Congratulations mama! πŸ™‚

First congrats!  Second, I am sorry he did that, I know exactly how you feel.  I just had my BFP earlier this week and I was afraid to tell my mom b/c she can’t keep a secret!  I really don’t want it to get out and then have something happen and have to explain it over and over just making it worse.  I bit the bullet and told my mom and I am just hoping she can keep it under wraps for the next few months.  I will wish you a sticky baby so this will all be a moot point in a few months!!!
