So like the title says, my husband is a massive bed hog! It didn’t used to be so bad, but it’s slowly gotten worse until most nights I’m literally clinging on as I balance precariously on the edge of the mattress. We have a queen bed, but don’t really have the room for a bigger bed.
Does anyone else have this problem? What have you done to help? Does anyone sleep in a separate bed from their spouse, and if so, how does that affect your relationship? I’m not excited at the idea of separate beds, but I need to be able to sleep without fear of falling off the bed!

I don’t have this problem, but why don’t you just kick him/wake him up and tell him to shove over?

I know you said you couldn’t fit a larger bed, but I would measure out the dimensions. We fit a King into our room and while it takes up most of the space, it’s well worth it. Has really changed our sleeping lives for the better!

We have a king so it’s definitely been better from when we had a queen but my SO is 6’6 so a pretty big guy and he takes up a huge amount of bed space to where I’m right in the edge. Honestly what worked for me, if I wanted to roll over I would literally just kick him or shove him and he would move.

jellybellynelly : that’s cool. I wonder if it’ll work kids and pets?

A king bed changed my life. I could never go back to sleeping in a queen. If you really can’t fit it in, I would at least try separate blankets.

evilqueenkarly : I don’t know if this helps but I love the idea of using separate comforters. That way you’re struggling less about the covers and therefore rolling over and moving less trying to pull the covers around you.

Between the dog and the Fiance, I feel you. We live in a small place, and I’m seriously thinking we may need to cash in some wedding money for a king size bed, even if it takes up most of the room…

My dh is a really bad sleeper and was also like this so we got a king bed and separate comforters and it’s amazing!

I am the bed hog I’m afraid. But my partner and I are saving up for a king sized bed. He doesn’t hold it against me coz I’m asleep. In the same way I don’t hold his snoring against him coz he’s asleep.

we have a king and my husband still hogs the majority of it!! so i feel you. Ive gotten to the point where i will just nudge him in the middle of the night to get him to scoot over, if he wakes up then oh well move the fudge over.
My husband is also a cover hog, i cling onto those things for my dear life at night lol.
love the man to death, but his sleeping habits drive me nuts sometimes.
