@littleG:  On a normal day, I would agree with you!  My husband works a 60 hour work week, and he does it so that I can stay at home with our kids.  He’s loving, attentive, and an exceptional man.  Any other day I would be counting the minutes with you!

Except today, he’s on my list.  Right smack at the top.  So I’m using the minutes until he gets home (90) to calm down, so we don’t have a super ugly Friday night πŸ™

My fiance is coming home tomorrow after being away visiting his family all week!!! I can’t wait to pick him up from the airport. Even if he is annoying me right now (sending me pics of him at my favorite restaurant back in our hometown).

AWW! I agree with you. πŸ™‚

My husband made a mad dash to walmart to get acetone and cotton balls for my nails (had to take the acrylics off; I attempted to take them off by hand with my left hand and ended up bleeding and begging for him to get acetone).

He is the BEST. πŸ˜€

@littleG:  On New Year’s Eve, the drain pipe on our washer broke.  I figured out that if I ran tiny loads, it would only spill about a cup of water on our kitchen floor, so I said “Please get to it over the weekend.”  He assured me he would.  I told him more than once, because my Dad said “If you leave it, it’ll get worse.”

Well, he left it.

And sure enough, it did get worse.

All over the kitchen.  Flooded the dryer.  Filled the cat box, so we had cat poop soup.  Filled the closet with our water heater, which is right next to the washer.  So I was cleaning water up off the floor while the baby screamed for dinner, and I’m as pregnant as an elephant.

It was ugly.  Really ugly.  But, the rational side of me knows that he’s not the guy who puts off household chores, and he’s so overworked during the week, he must have just forgotten.

My husband was just on an 12 hour flight and then stuck on a 8 hour watch. Poor guy, this deployment is really rough on him. I can’t wait for him to come home.

@littleG:  my husband busts his ass. He is a pretty important person in his squadron, and while that’s good in many ways (He has a lot of trust given to him, higher pay bracket) he is on call 24 hours a day. People in his squadron call him at all hours of the night and he can be called away on a moments notice… it’s happened many times before.

It’s gotten to the point where my heart sinks and breaks every time his phone rings. It usually means they’re calling him away from me.

Plus, I don’t get a lot of time with my husband. He’ll deploy for 3 weeks, be home for a week and a half, and then deploy again for 3 more weeks.

It’s hard on both of us.
