This is horrible! I am so sorry this happened to you. I had no idea people do this kind of thing.

I am so sorry! I still think you should post her name/any other info anyway. Just because her info is offline now doesn’t mean she won’t continue soliciting as a photographer, and if you post her name now it will be more likely that her potential clients will be warned in the futre. Just saying….

Yeah, this happened to me too, it totally sucked. Especially because i tracked down the photographer’s real work and it was appalling so I felt so sorry for the people that hired her thinking my work was hers.

I’ve had that happen to me too. Very violating!! I tell couples to pick any image off a photographers site at random and ask to see that wedding! The whole edited wedding. I’m very sorry this happenEd to you and the couples who were duped!

Can’t you sue or press charges?

@PizzutiStudios:  I’m so sorry :(. I think you should press charges or do something so her name is out there that she did that. Maybe not sue so its long & costly to you, but idk what can be done. I’m very glad someone caught on to her & let you know!

A local “photographer” did this, she used another pro’s work across the country. Sadly, she still has her website & FB up & just took like 2 images down & I strongly believe she has other pro photographer’s work up. I don’t think anything happened with that. It makes me so mad! Its also unfair to other local pros here because she looks like she’s good, but her work is not nearly as nice or creative as she’s promoting.

@Lashmont:  What’s Photo Stealers? EDIT: NVM, I love you! I’m going to report the person I think is stealing other’s images :). They look into it, so if I’m wrong nothing bad will happen to them. However they did it once so…

Is the photographer that was using stolen images in indiana?! Or just the one that notified you?? I’m from Indiana and would love to know who this is so I DON’T use them for engagement/wedding pics. You can PM me if you want.

OMG horrible. I would definitely take her to court and you should definitely broadcast her name everywhere and warn brides to be.

You’re welcome. The amount of time and effort and expense to sue someone who will just disappear doesn’t seem to help. that getting that guy on them does. He’s devoted!!
