I’m sorry you’re going through this!  Make sure to save all of your receipts, and when you receive confirmation from your employer that she has been reactivated, you can submit the claims and receive a reimbursement.  You should get a check in the mail.  Did you speak with your HR representative or with someone at the insurance company?  Is there a reason they can’t fix it tomorrow?

I think you should harrass them more, as this is unacceptable!  tell them they will fix it tomorrow and if they still refuse, tell them you want it in writing that they will reimburse you for your expenses!  also make sure they dont’ consider this a lapse in coverage for her!

If you have the insurance through the company you work for, someone at the company (owner, boss, administrative assistant, etc) should be the contact person for the insurance company.  I would highly recommend finding out who that person is and asking them to contact the insurance company on your behalf.  If the prescription insurance is separate from the medical insurance, they may need to contact both companies.  For my experience working at an insurance company, things move a lot faster if the company directly contacts the insurance!

Good thing you found out about it now-at least it sounds like it will be remedied soon.

You may already know this, but keep the receipt from the pharmacy, and if you get confirmation within about 7-14 days that your daughter was reinstated, you can go back to the pharmacy for a reimbursement.  It is generally a lot quicker to receive your money back that way than waiting for a check in the mail from the insurance.

Good luck and hopefully your day gets better!
