Lol. That is too funny. Um, maybe spray them with air freshener? Or spritz them with perfume/body spray? Or put them in a box with potpourri?

I am so sorry, but I laughed out loud when I read your post.  It was just so unexpected to read it.

Perhaps your guests will not notice?  I have never sniffed an invitation.

Blame it on the mailman?

Your guests may like it.

LUSH makes some really great smelling bath balls.  The scent lingers and makes anything adjacent to them smell really good.  You could wrap you invites in cloth (like a t-shirt) and put them in a box with the LUSH balls for a few days. They come in little paper bags; you wouldn’t have to take them out of their bags either.  I store them in the area I store my scarves so my scarves and my closet smell so good.

I’m sorry, I don’t have any suggestions. But when I read the title of your post, I thought “and whats the problem?”  Smile

try putting them in a box with coffee beans, the beans really take the smell away from things without adding any unwanted perfume scent that you could get from air freshener or dryer sheets.

lol.. cute post. I’d suggest putting it in a box with coffee beans, baking powder, or dryer sheets. You don’t need to have them touching, just in the same sealed box. That’s how you do away with smoke smells if you buy things 2nd hand.

I liked the idea of putting them in a box with potpurri or other nice smellies.

@frenchie427:  LOL as soon as I read ” I have never sniffed an invitation” I had the most hilarious image in my head of some one sniffing invitations… Omg too flipping funny.

There are lost of awesome suggestions above. I say try the coffee bean idea.

Everyone has some great ideas above!  Honestly, if I got an invitation that smelled like BBQ, I would automatically think it was the mailman eating ribs in his little mail truck…LOL so I’m totally on board with the “blame the mailman” one!  🙂
