I think taffeta would be best. Satin would definitely be too heavy and not opaque enough.

@toasty:  I also agree that organza or taffeta would probably look best on the tulle. I’m not sure which is lighter though. I think the flowers will defo stand out either way though, let us know what you decide!

I find that with the beading, it’s best to ask for a beading chart and then to tell them which beads you want (eg B5, C6 only etc etc). In China, they like their bling, and a lot of the dresses you see there have lots of sequins and really obvious shiny bits. I think US and UK bees often prefer the more subtle sparkle which you get with clear glass beads.

Wow…thank you for your review on Jasmine’s Bridal. I really do appreciate that you are taking the time to update the forum on your experiences with them.

I’m strongly considering ordering a dress from them. My wedding is in May…and the only problem I have is what if i receive the dress too close to the wedding and I dont like it…then I’ll be doomed!

@toasty:  Is that my daughter’s veil?  Looks like it.  Yes the beads are a bit more pearl, but really they are just so, so tiny.  We have received the veil and I must say it is just perfect.

Just the right amount of sparkle and beads and the right size.  I know it is really hard to imaging how big and sparkle the beading is going to be on the net.  I had real difficulty picking the types of beads etc for James to use.

In the end, I just left it up to him!!  It is perfect and brought tears to my daughter’s eyes when she saw it last week.

@toasty:  Thisis a hard one. In satin they will stand out more than in organza.  I guess the original does stand out quite a bit. And the original only has a scattering of flowers & leaves.

I quite like it, but it depends on the overall affect you want.

Let’s wait for some other responses, say from Rachael and Hiheel.  But it is Christmas tomorrow, so you may have to wait a bit.

Hope you have a great Christmas and that Santa is good to you.

@toasty:  The satin gives it a more dramatic look but the organza will match the dress better IMO.

Your dress is coming together absolutely wonderfully and I am SO looking forward to seeing the finished product! I am really considering ordering my dress from Jasmine’s Bridal Shop now!
