@authorgroupie: Getting a dress to fit 100% is possible if you make yourself available for dress fittings during the making process.
That is why when you buy a dress in a bridal shop you always have to have it altered. When you get Jasmines to make your dress you get the choice of changing elements of a dress that you may not like in the original version, you also can make it to fit you specifically, but really, if you want a 100% fit, then you will need to go for multiple fittings which is what you would do if you got a local seamstress. A bit hard to do when the company is in China.
Remember, the price you are getting from Jasmines is usually 1/4 or 1/2 of the designer’s original price. This is a big difference when you are buying an Elie Saab for example.
Out of the 7 dresses I had made by Jasmines 4 of them are 100%, my daughter’s dress needed some alteration because I made it a bit bigger and a bit longer the 6th one was too small because I didn’t have my measurements taken properly. The last dress, well we still have to try that one on our Junior Bridesmaid on 2 March so fingers crossed.
I do hope I have explained some of the process and benefits you get when you buy from Jasmines. No you may not, or you may get a 100% fit, but even if you don’t you are still saving heaps of money, getting a more personalised dress (changes you want to make) than buying from a bridal shop where you ‘cannot’ make changes and you still ‘have to have alterations’.
If you do decide to go with Jasmines, there are a lot of Bees on here that can help you. Wishing you lots of luck with your wedding planning.
