@authorgroupie:  Getting a dress to fit 100% is possible if you make yourself available for dress fittings during the making process.

That is why when you buy a dress in a bridal shop you always have to have it altered.  When you get Jasmines to make your dress you get the choice of changing elements of a dress that you may not like in the original version, you also can make it to fit you specifically, but really, if you want a 100% fit, then you will need to go for multiple fittings which is what you would do if you got a local seamstress. A bit hard to do when the company is in China.

Remember, the price you are getting from Jasmines is usually 1/4 or 1/2 of the designer’s original price.  This is a big difference when you are buying an Elie Saab for example.

Out of the 7 dresses I had made by Jasmines 4 of them are 100%, my daughter’s dress needed some alteration because I made it a bit bigger and a bit longer the 6th one was too small because I didn’t have my measurements taken properly.  The last dress, well we still have to try that one on our Junior Bridesmaid on 2 March so fingers crossed.

I do hope I have explained some of the process and benefits you get when you buy from Jasmines.  No you may not, or you may get a 100% fit, but even if you don’t you are still saving heaps of money, getting a more personalised dress (changes you want to make) than buying from a bridal shop where you ‘cannot’ make changes and you still ‘have to have alterations’.

If you do decide to go with Jasmines, there are a lot of Bees on here that can help you. Wishing you lots of luck with your wedding planning.

@toasty:  Hi. I recently ordered fabric samples of organza for color comparison in designer grade. Since you order samples of both premium and designer grade would you be able to tell me which is more matte? I’ve been reading conflicting answers to this…some say premium is less shiny and others say designer is less shiny. I don’t want a shiny dress and would prefer a more matte organza.

Thank you!

@toasty:  Thank you. I went to a local fabric store and looked at organza and it was “glittery” which made me worry. I’m still waiting on my fabric samples to arrive so hopefully it works out.

And I’m glad you are able to alter your dress. It looks so pretty, I think they did great job with the design.

@toasty:  Congratulations the dress looks amazing, and the veil magnificant.  Well done.  I think the neckline is sitting perfectly and love your mother’s pearls.  It is something special to wear ‘real’ jewellery especially if it came from your mum.  Agree with her also, not sure about the earings, it depends on how you are going to do your hair.

I carried lots of health bars with me during the lead up to the wedding, then came in handy for everyone because as you have discovered, food is not always readily available with you have 100 things to do and inevitable running LATE!! for everything.

You are going to make a very beautiful bride, and we are all expecting photos please
