Wow, this has all been so helpful. I also am considering ordering a dress from Jasmine’s. They seem to do a fabulous job!
I am thinking of the following dresses:
I am tall and lean, but most of my ‘shape’ is in my hip area; my bust is smaller. I feel like my ribcage is quite wide, although I do have a defined waist. What dress do you think would suit my body best?
Hope you bees can help me with my journey looking for a wedding dress!

Jasmines really do an amazing job. Have you tried any of the dresses on? As even if you think you know what dress will look best you might be suprised (I was with mine! lol!) As you’re tall i think all those dresses would suit you. I especially like options 1 and 3. 2 is also really nice, i just prefer the shapes of the first and third dresses! You might get more opinions if you post here:

How much did you pay to have that dress replicated?

Hi Mrs.Mods! How did all these ended? Did you received a gorgeous replica? Are you happy with it? I am in the same situation… no budget and need to order from China or I will end up using any white dress I have in the wardrobe… please help! Do you recomend Jasmines? Thanks! (And thanks to any other pretty bees that could reply with their own experiences! Bea.

Hi girls! My name is Bea and I am getting married on October the 5th, 5 monts from now! I have heard so many good things about Jasmine’s and they sent me pictures of the dress I want from a previous customer that I am eager to order it right away!!! I am only ordering the dress, a shrug and my veil.
One thing worries me only: Customs Clearance. I will ask my dress to arrive to Texas. I understand Jasmine’s declares that as”Gift cloth” in the package so it doesn’t have issues at Customs in US. But this still comes from China… how was your Customs Clearance experience? What should I expect regarding taxes and clearance costs? Issues?
I really appreciate any experience or advice you can share with me.

Any updates on your embrace? I just got mine altered, I’m so happy!
I haven’t been back on here in months! Appologies for the delay in the update and pictures.
I ended up having to have EXTENSIVE alterations on my dress.
The hips and butt nedded to be taken out 2 sizes and the waist and bust taken in.
Luckily I found an excellent seamstress, as while there was plently of fabric and lace left in the seams, there wasn’t really enough lace there to cover letting it out 2 sizes, however she managed to fudge it through.
Once that was resolved, we added a three point bustle in the back, and removed the satin part of the train. So really – it was a fit and flare style dress with no satin train, but a long lace train over that.

So glad it all worked out. You look beautiful and so does the dress. I love the idea of the lace train without the lining – great idea.
Congratulations and all the best to you and your hubby:)

You look TERRIFIC!
I also had to have extensive alterations on my dress too, almost in the exact same areas. I think they thought this dress was more of a fit-and-flare than the original was. I had the bust taken in, and I WOULD have had to have the hips taken out, but the wedding stress had enough of an effect on my body that they JUST squeeze in now, saving the money on alterations. My seamstress also had to re-do the bustle. Yours fits now very similarly to the way mine does, which makes me feel really happy, because if I look half as beautiful as you do, I’m a lucky bride!
Really, stunning, congrats dress-twin!
