I’m not a professional seamstress, but I like the sleeves, and they appear to “stick out” like that because the mannequin doesn’t have shoulders or arms to fill them out! Lay a t shirt flat on your bed and you’ll see the sleeves have the same sort of angle from the bodice. I love your Dress, that said, if you want more length in the sleeves say think it would look great too. 🙂 goodluck and keep us updated!

I am large cheated as well (38DD). The only thing I can see (to my unprofessional eye) is that the seam under the bust may hit at mid boob level when you get it on?

@hortensia:  I totally forgot to look at the bust! (I’m a 38DDD!) and I’d say the seams look high, but they do have your measurements, and if it were too low, us busty girls would look too saggy. The cup area seems to have quite a bit of extra space of the mannequin, (there’s wrinkles& sags where the mannequin doesn’t fill it out!) Look to your dress in pic 4, imagine where the underwire of the cup would lay if you we’re to place your underwire bra on top of the dress. I think the dress has plenty of room. (I’ve hand sewn rennisance dresses as Halloween costumes before, nothing as quality or professional as this)

@hortensia:

I honestly would.. maybe with shoulder pads or something.. Just if it were me? I would have a nagging fear that the bust wouldn’t fit right when I got it and I would hqve to pay another load of money to get itfixed.. I would just see if they will. The worst thing they will say is no 🙂

@hortensia:  I agree with the othere comments about the sleeves not sitting correctly because it is on a mannequin.  I like them the length they are.  Before you ask for them to be lengthened, just try on a T-shirt or something with short sleeves at the length you requested.  Sometimes longer sleeves (above the elbow) can look a bit ‘frumpy’/’old lady looking!!

The zipper looks fine as is, because they have only just pinned it in place.  The lace placement looks even.

I would recommend Jasmines double checking the measurements for your under bust seam, you also double check this measurement, because it really look ‘not nice’ on larger breasted ladies if the seam is too high.

Also, I would think about adding a bit of sparkle.  Any reason why you wanted just plain lace?

Overall I think Jasmines are well on the mark.  Very exciting.

Love your dress! It’s looking really good. Only thing I could really critique is the lace placement on the front skirt of the dress. Is it just me or does it look a little bare there?

@hortensia:  it’s looking great, I also think that the sleeves look like a good length but as others have said, try out a T-shirt to see what you think. I also agree about checking the bust measurements, it might just be how the dress is arranged on the maniquin but defo check. Let us know how it goes

@hortensia:  Looks good! I had a few questions: Do you know what the main material they used is? It looks lovely!

also- are they going to put a zipper an then buttons and loops or just buttons and loops?

I am looking at getting a Jasmine’s dress but this looks like the first ive seen without a zipper- just buttons!

Cannot wait to see the finished dress!
