One of the most important people in my life is going to be my flower girl. My daughter and I have been this dynamic duo since the day she was born. We sing together, we dance together, she’s comforted me when I was sad. Her father left me when she was just 2 weeks old and when she was just 12 months old we were living in a tiny apartment on an island in the middle of nowhere and her father had completely dropped off the face of the earth, I was crying as quietly as I could in the bedroom so that I would not disturb her playing in the livingroom she was the one who toddled in and without a word put her arm around me, patted my shoulder and said “It’s ok, Mommy”. She gave me a kiss and held me as I cried harder because I couldn’t believe that my 1 year old had such a heart of gold that she knew how to comfort. I never could get a hold of her father after that and so it’s always been us against the world until I met Brian. He showed my daughter exacty how a father should be and life has been golden and whole ever since. It is only fitting that she should be the one I walk behind that leads me to the rest of our lives. I bought her dress already and decided to do a hair and makeup trial today. Her hair doesn’t hold a curl for anything! I got some photos but I feel like they don’t do her justice. She’s truly the most beautiful thing that’s ever hapened to me so I’ve got to show her off 🙂
Our theme is a Literary Tea Time shindig so I tried to go with a very vintage feel. She’ll be dropping paper punchouts of book pages and hopefully I can find her some lace gloves and I haven’t decided what shoes to put her in yet. If my fellow bees find any pretty shoes I can pair with this outfit please link them to me!
Let me know what you think of her getup!

I had the same situation with my daughter (well he left when I was 2 months pregnant) and my daughter has been my rock. The one to keep me grounded and to keep pursuing my goals. She is an amazing resilient young woman. She will be almost 15 by the time the wedding gets here and she will be my Maid/Matron of Honor. You are blessed to have such a beautiful angel on your hands. I read your story and I remembered back when It was just me and her (before I had her brothers) and the times I would cry and she would make me feel better. She would hold my hand and brush my hair. She always make the world brighter. I had tears in my eyes after reading this. Thank you for sharing your story and your perfect little girl with me (and the rest of the bees).
P.s. I LOVE the pictures and the outfit. So amazing!!!

Oh my she is soo cute!!! I had a similar situation with my oldest daughter’s father. I mean he is still around but when I picked up and moved 3 hours away from my hometown and family – he ended up in jail and then rehab. She was my rock and she could sense when I was having a hard time. She would hug and kiss me! Children are the best!!
I have two daughters now and both are in the wedding. My Fiance has been there for me and my oldest when she just turned 2 and has been an amazing father figure.
