She got married in August but im just now getting a chance to post pic of her ring (with permission) she came over to visit today and I HAD to get some pics to share with the Bees 😉
She confided in me today that she would of NEVER picked a set like this, (HE chose it for her without any input) but that she was suprised she liked it so much….. She said maybe in a few years when they can afford it , she will get a ring she LOVES.

I opened this thread and gasped. Incredible. I love yellow gold.

I love the wrap wedding band, it totally makes that set! He did a great job 🙂
My parents hardly had any money when they got married, so my mom got a tiny solitaire in white gold, and a plain white gold band. Over the years, my dad has gotten her anniversary bands, and upgraded her solitaire, and now she loves pairing the solitaire with the different bands. Have a solitaire is really versatile if you want to switch up your wedding band later on 🙂

Nice! It’s very similar to my mother’s wedding set.

I’m a huge traditional gold fan 🙂 I think he did a fine job!

Thanks Bees! I think reading all these super sweet comments has helped her feel more love for it! haha. She really does like it, she just said it was something she would of never looked at in the store. Regardless we both agree it looks beautiful on her finger 😀

I actually love it. I’m a fan of wraps, but I don’t like the way yellow gold looks against my skin. So if it were mine, I’d probably rhodium plate it. I think it’s very pretty and unique as is, though.
What doesn’t she like about it? The shape? The yellow gold? Is it soldered together? If not, she should take it to Helzberg and try different wraps with it. That can change the look a lot.

she loves it! i guess that came off wrong…. She just said that she would of never looked at a ring like that if she were to walk into a jewelry store and pick one out. She was pleasantly suprised! haha. I think she might just have a little ring envy (wanting a bigger stone) but I assured her that a ring doesnt make the relationship. The biggest ring in the world wont make a perfect marriage. I told her that my ring before my upgrade was the same size as hers. You always start out small and work your way up to bigger and better things! She can always upgrade once their able to.

Is it a half carat? Looks huge to me. To your sister– it’s not about the size of the stone, it’s about the awesomeness of the relationship. All stones sparkle 😉

I think her ring is 14 carat. not sure about the total weight with the wrap added.

@MrsRuby: Tell her it looks wayyy bigger than 1/4!
