She probably “found” this one because you like the replacement one more! There is something so off with her story.

What a roller coaster! Bets on her and your Future Brother-In-Law divorcing in the future? And no, a verbal thank you is enough.

sunnierdaysahead2 :  At least your ring has been found! I still can’t believe how this all transpired. I echo the others that it is very odd and I would never trust your SIL.

Sketchy AF!

I really don’t get how the rest of the family aren’t seeing it??

And no, don’t send her anything. A ‘brilliant, thanks for finding it’ Is more than enough.

And she was being rude again when you stayed? Didn’t she apologise for that last time and was going to be nice from now on?

sunnierdaysahead2 :  First off, YAY!!!! So glad you’re getting your original e-ring back. Secondly, I’ve been waiting for this to come up. Her behavior was strange before and I know y’all checked the dogs bed a gazillion times since the dog was the main culprit but I knew it was a lost cause. I was already suspicious of her, but her recent behavior just confirms it. I think she held onto it long enough so you would have to go through the hassle of insurance claims and getting a new ring, and wanted all of the family to find out about you “losing” it to make you look irresponsible. Then, here she swoops in, the Finder! She’s full of it and I would watch her crazy ass closely. Lol

I bet she found it in her underwear draw, where she had it the whole time! !  You don’t need to send her a thank you gift.

Classic attention seeking behaviour. My colleague did the same thing to me at work – not my engagement ring though thankfully. Do not indulge her behaviour! Book FedEx yourself to come collect it from her house if she tries delaying any further.

Really glad you’ve got this back, but feels sketchy as hell to me

The replacement she posted in her original thread. It is gorgeous. I don’t remember seeing the original though.
