So this was my second trial for my October 4th wedding. The first trial was horrible and took off the hair and makeup as soon as I got home. Today I left feeling glamourous and so pretty. Here are my inspiration pictures and what we came up with. By The Way after my hair was done, we started playing around with it adding headbands and her showing me what it would be like with more volume. Also my hair is pretty short (bottom on the neck) so the bun isn’t as full as it would be in a few plus (and adding extensions if needed
my trial (don’t mind my spray tan that I got a few hours before lol)

They did the eyeliner a lot lighter than your inspiration photos – is that what you wanted?
For short hair, you’ve already got great volume! It’ll look great for your wedding!

DanielleI: Its pretty, but doesnt say “bride” to me…it just looks like youre good at doing your own makeup and youre going to a nice party or out with girlfriends for dinner and drinks.
I dont understand why makeup artists feel the need to put a frosty pink lip on brides. Its not flattering or bridal.
Have you ever thought of doing a medium berry lip color?

im going to be honest, there’s something about the eye dhadow that looks nonprofessional. I dunno, just not a fan.
The hair is awesome for “short hair”! I would have thought you had med-longish hair!

DanielleI: I think your make up is beautiful and if you feel beautiful in it that is the most important thing of all! 🙂
This is getting me pumped for my trial next month!

I think the eyeshadow needs to be done a bit differently and definitely blended better. I love your skin though so whatever she did there is good.

thanks for all the comments and suggestions. in september i have my final trial where we will hopefully come as close to the wedding look. ill probably try it with my dress so i can see the whole package! the hairdoesnt necessarily scream bridal but with the veil, headband and dress i dont think people will assume im not bridal enough. i would def tell her to blend the eyeshadow and add more twists and curls to my hair. im curious about adding more eyeliner, my eyes tend to be small so if i add more will it make them smaller??

Sorry, but the eyeliner, lashes, and eyeshadow don’t look like they were done by a pro at all and picture pretty poorly. Stuff is sticking out or crooked or not blended at all. You look gorgeous but I’d rethink this MUA if you have that option.

DanielleI: as gorgeous as you look in the pics, I agree with the idea of more eyeliner. My eyes are quite small but I found if I wear eyeliner on my waterline (?) it makes my eyes smaller. What I do is put a little bit of brown and black eyeshadow along my bottom eyelashes and blend out like the pic below, with no eyeliner used at all. I think maybe get your MUA to do something similar – cant hurt to try 🙂 ps sorry for the largeness of the pic, tried to crop most of my face out haha
